We are a private no-kill rescue dedicated to chinchillas located in Albany, Oregon. We purchased our first chinchilla in 1995, took in our first rescue around 2002, and since then have accepted surrenders from owners, finders, other rescues, and have happily accepted transfers from humane societies in Oregon and Washington.
Chinchillas are accepted regardless of age, illness, or disability. We strive to never turn away a chinchilla or owner in need, however in some cases it may be necessary to put the chin on a waiting list for the next spot to become available.
While OCR is not a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit, we do operate as a not-for-profit rescue.
We strive to provide up to date and accurate information on chinchilla care. Therefore this web site will be updated as needed.
